Campus Security


Office of Discipline, Safety and Security Services coordinates safety and security efforts on campus. Campus Security strives to ensure the personal safety of all persons on campus. They are equipped with two-way radios and cell phone, and also work with the Bacolod Police Department to develop policies and proactive strategies to address campus security.

Campus Security is available to:
  • respond to security concerns 24 hours per day
  • direct and assist visitors, students, faculty and staff
  • escort individuals to their cars and to other buildings during evening hours
  • deliver emergency messages to classrooms
  • enforce regulations pertaining to underage drinking and the use of controlled substances (The Policy on Alcohol and Drugs is in the Student Handbook.)
  • provide programming to encourage positive safety habits

This reference guide is a "What to do" for students, faculty, staff and visitors. It includes sections on:

  • emergency procedures
  • suspicious activity
  • building evacuation
  • fire

 

 

Our aim is to serve the University Community in a manner that is unsurpassed and serve as the standard for others to emulate. The mission of the Office of Discipline, Safety and Security Services is to enhance the quality of life on campus, be working cooperatively with the government Law enforcement agency, within the framework of the constitution to enforce laws, preserve the peace, eliminate fear, and provide for a safe environment. Further, it is our responsibility to work closely with all members of the community to preserve life, maintain human rights, protect property, provide individual responsibility, and fulfill community commitments. As our mission, we believe in dignity and worth of all people. We are committed to providing high-quality, community oriented, sensitive security services; protecting constitutional rights; teamwork; continuous improvement; and above all professionalism. We encourage and seek diversity in our work force, which permits us to grow and respect each person as an individual. We strive for a safe, healthy work force”.
