A summa cum laude from West Negros University was qualified as one of the 2013 Ten Outstanding Students of the Philippines (TOSP)-Western Visayas Finals.

Lucellie P. Santibañez, a BS Psychology graduate, was chosen as one of the 20 regional finalists by the TOSP Regional Screening Committee after a rigorous and comprehensive selection process on March 23, 2013 at the University of Iloilo-PHINMA.

TOSP Regional Executive Committee led by Ma. Geraldine Duronio-TOSP 2009 lauded West Negros University for having educated, trained and formed an outstanding student in Santibañez.

Santibañez was the former editor-in-chief of the university publication and an active student leader. She is also a recipient of the Ayala Young Leaders Award (AYLC) in 2012 and a consistent honor student.

Santibañez was a consistent academic scholar, an active student leader and a proactive student journalist.

The 20 regional finalists will convene in Roxas City, Capiz for the Regional Formation Program on April 20-26, 2013. The program includes formation activities, community immersion, regional interviews and cultural tour, among others.

WNU is proud of Santibañez for the person she has become as it reflects the institution’s thrust as a learner centered university.*
