A
Memorandum
of
Agreement
(MOA)
was
signed
between
West
Negros
University
(WNU)
and
Mapua
Institute
of
Technology
(MIT)
last
July 23,
2010,
Friday
at the
University’s
President
Board
Room on
the
conduct
of
research
on the
best
usage of
blister
wastes.
The
collaboration
between
WNU’s
Civil
Engineering
Department
and
MIT’s
School
of Civil
Engineering
and
Environmental
and
Sanitary
Engineering
is for
the
purpose
of
conducting
a
research
on
Blister
Waste as
Construction
Material.
It
stated
that WNU
Civil
Engineering
department
has
faculty
members
trained
in
research
and have
alternative
materials
for
construction
as one
of its
research
thrusts,
it
desires
to
conduct
a study
on the
use of
pharmaceutical
industry
wastes
like
blister
capsule
wastes
as an
alternative
construction
material.
The
partner
industry
that
will
provide
the
blister
wastes
in
Herbanext,
Inc.
through
the
generosity
of its
owner,
Mr.
Philip
Cruz.
The
agreement
was
signed
by WNU
and
MIT’s
Presidents,
Dr.
Suzette
Lilian
A.
Agustin
and Dr.
Reynaldo
B. Vea;
and
witnessed
by Dean
Francis
Aldrine
A. Uy at
MIT and
Dean
Dioscoro
P.
Marañon,
Jr. of
WNU.
Also
present
during
the
signing
