and Ms.
Freshmen
2010
held
July 9,
2010 at
the LNAM
Sports
Center.
With the
theme;
“Projecting
the
Wesnecan
Image”,
Jeffrey
Gerardo
Sanchez
and
Ariane
Sevilla,
of the
College
of
Nursing
and
Allied
Health
Sciences
and the
College
of
Education,
respectively,
swept
the
audience
away in
their
separate
performances
leading
them to
bag the
Mr. and
Ms.
Freshmen
2010
title.
Both
were
also
awarded
Best in
Ruby
Collection,
and
Sanchez
bagged
the Best
in Cost
Play
Attire
and Best
in
Talent
for
male.
First
runner-up
place
was
awarded
to Errol
Vivero
(College
of
Education)
who at
the same
time won
the Best
in Cost
Play
Attire
for male
and Guia
Marie
Celis
(College
of
Engineering).
Placers
in the 2nd
runner
up were
from the
College
of Arts
and
Sciences,
Obed
Heyres
and
Zyrene
Joy
Ballares.
Named
Mr. and
Ms.
Photogenic
were;
John
Octaviano
(College
of
Business
and
Management)
and
Zyrene
Joy
Ballares.
College
of
Nursing
female
representative,
Chenny
Fernandez
was
awarded
Best in
Cost
Play
Attire
for
female
and Best
in
Talent.
Earlier,
an
orientation
of the
school
policies
was
conducted
to more
than a
thousand
freshmen
from the
different
colleges;
Bibles
were
also
shared
to them
by the
Gideon’s
International
followed
by a
showcase
of
Wesnecan
talents
through
Freshmen
Got
Talent.
Freshmen
Got
Talent
awards
were
given to
the
Colleges
of Arts
and
Sciences,
Information
and
Communication
Technology
and
Nursing
and
Allied
Health
Sciences
as 1st,
2nd
and 3rd
place,
respectively.
Dr. Cleo
Grace
Hinaut,
vice-president
for
Academic
Affairs
expressed
that the
students
should
have the
attitude
of
believing
that
“They
can,
because
they are
Wesnecans.”
Furthermore,
the
university
is
preparing
them to
become
preferred
professionals
in the
future,
added
Dr.
