These thoughts were underscored to the twenty-one student interns of the University during the 15th Pinning Ceremony and Culminating Activity of the College of Education held August 6, 2010 at the Teodoro Hall with the theme; Projecting the Wesnecan Image.

He also discussed the significance of the Knowledge Based Education (KBE) with the advent of information technology, scientific advances and globalization, teachers should be adaptive, creative and always on the go, adjusting to new situations.

“A Wesnecan must be part of the vision through projecting the good image of SPIRIT which stands for self efficacy, progressive minded, innovative, responsible, imaginative and teachable,” Serviñas urged.

Dr. Cleo Grace Hinaut, Vice President for Academic Affairs, lauded the student teachers on the job well done and that the University is very proud of them. She further encouraged them to always do their best because in this noble profession, one is not building houses but lives.
