College of Criminal Justice
Education (CCJE) were pronounced Mr.
and Ms. Freshmen in the recent
Freshmen Day Celebration held last
July 22, 2011 at LNAM Sports Center.
Rhodrence M. Mista (CICT) and
Christal Jane O. Abogador (CCJE)
bagged the Mr. and Ms. Freshmen 2011
title and bested 14 other
participants from the different
colleges who vied for the award.
Both also won the Best in Talent
with Mista singing ‘When you say
nothing at all’ and Abogador doing a
salsa dance number.

welcomed

newest
members
during
the
Freshmen
Day held

theme,
“Journeying
together

future
and
hope.”
More
than two
thousand
freshmen
from the
different
colleges
participated
in the
annual
celebration
when
they
were
formally
introduced
to
college
life
particularly
how it
is being
in the
fold of
the
Wesnecan
community.
They
were
also
being
oriented
to their
new
environment
and
develop
the
values
and
spirit
unique
to a
Wesnecan.
West
Negros
University
(WNU)
President
lauded
the 2nd
batch of
graduates
of the
Kolehiyo
sa Baryo
during
the
closing
ceremonies
held
July 20,
2011 at
Talisay
City
Public
Plaza
for
taking
the
chances
provided
by the
local
government
to
finish
their
college
education.

WNU
President
commended
the
seventy-six
graduates
who
honored
their
parents
with
their
certificates
and
lauded
the
effort
of the
local
government
of
Talisay
for
initiating
the
project
in
collaboration
with WNU
to
provide
the best
education
to the
students
most
especially
in the
far-flung
areas of
the
province.
A
memorandum
of
agreement
was
signed
between
West
Negros
University
and OK
English
Academy
(OKEA),
recently
at the
President’s
Boardroom
attended
by
representatives
from
both
institutions.
The MOA
was
signed
between
WNU, an
educational
institution
of
higher
learning
represented
by its
President,
Dr.
Oscar S.
Suarez
and OKEA
general
manager,
In Hwan
Sin in
the
presence
of the
University’s
Chief
Operating
Officer,
Mrs.
Tisha
Angeli
A. Sy,
HR
Director
Elmer J.
Bolivar,
and
Sharon
Cho.
