The Health Services Department is composed of Medical Clinic and Dental Clinic. It is located on the right wing of the ground floor, fronting the Conference Room and beside the HRD Office.


Who may avail the services of the Health Services Department?

 

A.       Student from the Integrated School, College, and Graduate School with their proper school identification     .

B.       Faculty, Staff and School Administrators

C.       Immediate members of the family of regular WNU employees (spouse and children only)


What Medical Services are available? 

 

A.       Free consultation with the physician during consultation hours.

B.       Pre-employment Medical Check – up of WNU applicants, check-up for apprenticeship of students required by their course.

C.       Yearly check-up of integrated School Students.

D.       Physical Examination of Incoming Freshmen Nursing, Maritime, HRM, Criminology students and food court personnel’s.

E.       Regular Dispensary Services like cleaning and dressing of wounds, BP monitoring, Check – up of Height, Weight and Temperature, Application of Eye and Ear Drops, Snellen’s Eye Test, Color Perception Test, Giving of Follow-up Injections and Emergency Drugs.

F.        Emergency Services after which the patient is accompanied to the hospital of choice.

G.       Ordinary First Aid Treatment

H.       Giving of Health Advice and Instructions as needed.

I.          Referral to the appropriate specialist or sub-specialist when necessary.

J.         Free medical check-up for certain group of students like members of the Kaanyag Pilipinas Dance Company, athletes competing in the NOPSSCEA sports competition, ROTC officers, students going on On-The-Job training, SOLAS training and  official fieldtrips approved  by the school, and such other activities where the service is needed or required.

What Dental Services are available?

 

A.            Dental Services can be availed by the Students, Faculty, Staff and their immediate dependents (spouse and children), and School Administrators upon presentation of proper school identification.

B.          Students can avail 3 Dental Services (1 Tooth Extraction, 1 Annual Oral Prophylaxis, and Temporary Restorative filling) for every semester at least one month apart.

C.            Appointments have to be made with the dental Clinic one day before the desired schedule.

D.            Students are supposed to come on time for the appointments. A grace period of 10 minutes will be allowed after which their turn is forfeited. However, the dentist may decide to serve them if the time left is enough to finish the procedure before` the next patient’s turn.

E.            Faculty, Staff and Administrators may avail of Dental services preferably during the summer break and semester break. All appointment has to be made a day prior to the desired schedule. Immediate members of families of regular employees (spouse and children) may avail Dental Services provided a prior appointment has been made.
