Ecogarden
was
launched July 7, 1997 opened
to the public on December 1, 1997
with a theme “I CARE, I Share… adopt
a Plant/ Animal Program.
It is strategically
located in Brgy. Mandalagan, a
refuge in the midst of the hustles
of the City and a haven meant to be
relished.
A profusion of flora and fauna is found in the
place, located within a one-hectare
facility equipped with a mini-zoo,
botanical garden and museum for
wildlife. Initially, the place was
used as a garbage dumping site and
how it evolves to this date is a
testimony that greater things can be
done when people worked together for
a common cause.
