“The College of Maritime Studies, shall

education in the field of nautical sciences
including research and extension programs fro
the education and training of future marine
officers, shipping executives and other related
positions in the field of shipping business
and maritime industry in the Philippines.”
OBJECTIVES
The objectives of maritime education programs
shall:
1. Equip students
with sufficient knowledge skills, competencies,
attitudes and values in compliance with the
national as well as those with the requirements
of STCW ’78 as amended and such other
international conventions;
2. Train students tom pursue a professional
career or advanced studies in any maritime field
of specialization;
3. Produce graduates that meet the minimum requirements
of the STCW ’78 as amended.
