School Programs and Functions

School Programs and functions are done on a school day. Hence, every student is required to attend the activity. No student is allowed to leave the venue or the school campus any time before dismissal. Likewise, parents are not allowed to bring their child home before the end of the activity. This is to maintain order and discipline during the ceremony except for emergency cases.

Teachers are not allowed to hold special classes and meetings outside the school campus without the approval of the school administration.

Parent-Teacher Conference

Parent-teacher conferences are scheduled every after grading period. (Please see schedule on a school calendar). A parent/guardian is required to come. Students/Pupils are not authorized to claim the report cards from the class adviser. In most cases, they do not show it to their parents especially when there are low or failing grades.

The PTC is considered to be one of the most important functions of the school. Classes are postponed so that teachers can attend to parents’ concerns and inquiries. Therefore, parents should pay enough time and attention to this activity. The class adviser reserves the right not to accept any student/pupil in class if the report card is not claimed by a parent or a guardian. Instead, they will be sent to the library to do research work under the supervision of the library assistant while waiting for a parent to come and claim the report card. The school authorities will not take the responsibility for any complaint from parents who do not attend in these important meetings. This is to ensure that parents are fully aware of their child’s performance in school.

For special cases, parents may come to school for a conference with teachers regarding their child. Since teacher cannot leave their classes anytime in a day, parents are advised to make an appointment with the academic coordinator to see the teacher concern after classes in the afternoon or during a vacant time.

Parents/guardians are required to attend the meetings set by the school or by the PTA. Important concerns are discussed during these functions and usually decisions are made. When a parent is absent, it is understood that he/she conforms to what has been agreed upon.

Deliveries and Classroom Visits

In school, students are taught to become independent in character and practice. In order to develop responsibility in our students and to avoid disruptions of classes, the following guidelines are made:

1.       No deliveries are to be made during class hours.

2.       Guardians and helpers are not allowed to give to the students any article they have forgotten during class hours.

3.       Bring all forgotten materials to the principal’s office to be sent to the student concern by the student aid.

4.       No parent/guardian is allowed to stay in the classroom even during break time.

5.       Parents and guardians are not allowed to visit their child during class hours, in case of emergency, parents/guardians should wait for their child at the principal’s office.

6.       Within the school hours no student may leave the school campus without the “Permit to leave” issued by the guidance office/or the academic coordinator’s office.

7.       Students/pupils may use the telephone with a fee of P4.00 per call. Office telephone is for official use only.

8.       Students/pupils are not allowed to borrow office materials for personal use.

9.       The school does not accommodate any letter of request or a telephone call from a parent/guardian requesting to allow any student/pupil to leave the campus during the class hours or even during lunch break without a LUNCH PASS. For emergency cases, a parent/guardian should come and secure a permit to leave from the class adviser.

10.   A parent/guardian must discuss his/her concern about a child and the school first with the class adviser and/or with the teacher concerned, then with the academic coordinator if the issue is not resolved before bringing the matter to the  principal and other higher authorities of the school. Please observe communication through proper channels.

Lunch Pass

Parents must apply for the Issuance of lunch pass to students at the Guidance Office. No student/pupil will be allowed to leave the school campus for lunch without the lunch pass. A student/pupil is not allowed to ask permission from parents to leave the school campus through a telephone call for security reasons.

Monetary Contributions

Either the school administration or the PTA approves all monetary collections and contributions made in school.

No teacher is allowed to collect money from the students without the permission of the principal and the school.
