Dean's Message

he educational philosophy of the College of Business and Management is based on the premise that, in an era marked by rapid technological and institutional change, and a communications revolution, the ability to adapt to new conditions and realities is an essential requirement for effective and innovative management. At West Negros University, we expose our students to a learning environment which encourages not only the development of the basic analytical, behavioral and leadership skills for management but also the formation of ethical and moral foundations which are needed in the world of business. We at the CBM are, therefore, committed to the pursuit of excellence in providing quality undergraduate education to prepare our graduates in meeting the changing demands of society.

Recently, we have taken steps to further strengthen our various academic programs by requiring the highest level of teaching performance from our professors. In terms of teaching qualification, seventy (70%) of our full-time professors have a graduate degree, half of whom are Ph.D's. The rest are Masteral candidates awaiting issuance of their graduate diploma. Furthermore, our course offerings are being continuously reviewed and updated to keep our students abreast of new developments in the business arena.

We have just opened four academic offerings which shall take effect starting school year 2011. These are the Bachelor of Science in Techno-Management and Bachelor of Science in Tourism Management. These new courses will give a much-deserved boost to the already growing reputation of the College of Business and Management as an excellent provider of relevant, quality academic programs in West Negros University.

For those who want to avail themselves of quality education that would guarantee a secure future, the College of Business and Management is where your future begins.
